Fall Countryside Engagement Session | Mitchell, SD

As soon as I left my bridal consultation with Morgan I new I wanted to shoot her wedding. We had so many good laughs talking about different fashion bloggers we loved, coffee and many other things! It felt as if we were long time friends but had really just met! Her happiness and laughter is contagious! You cannot help but want to be around her!

Prior to all my engagement couples engagement sessions I talk with my couples about different ideas. Morgan said she didn’t really have any. They just wanted to stay around their house and Cole’s Grandparents farm. It has been in the family for generations and is very important and meaningful to them. I said of course we can. As long as there is some greenery I can make anything work! I showed up early to scout out all the locations she sent me. Right away I got excited as there were SO many options! We headed into Cole’s hometown of Artesian, SD. Right off the main highway there was a field filled with these beautiful yellow blooms. After that we ventured over to Cole’s family farm hitting all the families special spots. As time goes on they will be able to show their kids these portraits of them at their family farm from the beginning of their marriage. That means so much to me! It was a little windy but for a fall day in South Dakota we got some perfect weather! Especially, at the end with a gorgeous sunset! Hanging out with these two was so much fun! They are totally my people! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this summer. Morgan is going to be one gorgeous bride!
