When our dear friends contacted me about wanting to do a Fresh 48 session I was so excited!! Mom knew this would be their last baby and she wanted to capture these memories to last forever! Baby Lawson was born on Easter Sunday weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long. He is so sweet and loved having his pictures taken. I cannot wait to snuggle him some more at his newborn session coming up!
Enjoy a handful of Lawson’s Fresh 48 session!

Shortly after I found out I was pregnant with Amelia one of my good friends texted me asking if we could be pregnancy buddies. It is one of the best things to share these seasons of life with lifelong friends! I cannot wait to see all the fun our little girls will have together as they grow up!
Hope you enjoy a few pictures from her session!

If you know me well you know I love to decorate. With each of our children I put a lot of time and effort into making their nursery special. When we had our last two daughters my mom and I hand made their whole nursery bedding, all the way down to a matching carseat cover. I know I am a little crazy but I loved the idea of everything being custom and matching! With the wedding season winding down I knew I didn’t have much extra time on my hands this time around. In the past my girls usually delivered early and I wanted to make sure everything was finished by the time I was 36 weeks. Since Amelia’s due date was quickly approaching I started looking up ideas for how I wanted her nursery to look. One thing I did know for sure is that I wanted to do a big accent wall behind her crib. After a bunch of searching I came across these large beautiful peony flowers and knew that is exactly what I wanted! They were super simple to apply. Which I loved since they will come right off when we go to change her room when she is older.
I want to give a huge thank you to Kamie Whittrock Photography for capturing this important time of our little one’s life. We love these photos so much since they truly capture our children in their own element. These are the memories I never want to forget!
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do!

I know I am exactly a month late but this momma has been truly enjoying all of her precious baby snuggles and naps while she can! Here is a little bit of her birth story! My water of course just happened to break, leading into several of the coldest days on record. It broke around 9 am Monday morning. At that point I called Brent and told him what had happened. After that I called the hospital and they highly encouraged me to come in. Brent then left work, rushed home, and we headed to the hospital. For some reason when my water has broke in the past, it doesn’t jump-start my body into labor like you see in the movies. I usually need a little medication to get things going. We arrived at the hospital just before 1 pm. It was at that point I initially got check out and send over right away to the L & D floor. After checked checked in Brent and I walked the big circle on the floor hoping it would get things started. It was around 4 pm when the nurse checked me for a second time but I was still at 4 cm and not making any progress. My Doctor started me on Pitocin and at 6 pm I was checked again and still had not made any progress. So they kept upping the meds and around 10 pm I finally became complete and was finally able to start pushing!! This labor was really easy, I only had to push two times. Even though the labor was short I was glad it was over! I was able to start enjoying our time with her.
Leading up to her birth I had my camera and bag all ready! We were up all night and into Tuesday, enjoying everyone’s company. My healing process was normal and when we woke up Wednesday, my Doctor said we were cleared for Discharge. The temperature outside was at a record low of -45 degrees windchill. We were definitely ready to have little Amelia all snuggled up in her warm home. Inside our hospital room was even so cold, so we were definitely ready to leave. Plus, we were really missing our other three kiddos! At this point I still hadn’t gotten any pictures of her in the hospital, so I decided to quickly snap a few. This is such a precious time!! With all my children I have made sure to always get it captured. They only have that flaky skin, wrinkly hands and toes, and that fresh baby smell for a short time!
Hope you enjoy a handful of Amelia’s Mini Fresh 48 Session!

Meet Ada and Oliver!! Sometimes shooting newborn twins can be intimidating, but not with these two! They were some of the easiest babies I have been privileged of shooting. Both of them were such a blessing to work with. Let me just say after this session it was really hard to give them back to Mom and Dad!!
Hope you enjoy their sneak peak!
